A Czech icon wears a Czech icon
Combining tradition and innovation
Both brands have deep roots in the Czech environment – Botas has been producing footwear for over 75 years , while Škoda is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. We believe that quality footwear is – just like a car – an essential element of mobility. Our customers have been driving Škoda cars for generations, which is why this cooperation is extremely important to us.
"It is a great honor for us to cooperate with a brand that represents the Czech industry on a global scale. Together we have created something extraordinary, which we as the Botas team are very proud of," says Vít Staněk, director of the Botas brand.

Design that has character
Our team of footwear experts collaborated with designers from the Color & Trim department at Škoda Auto to create the final look of the sneakers. The result is a timeless silhouette of the Botas sneaker, enriched with slanted lines and the iconic Botas wedge, which is characteristic of our models. The sneakers also feature a distinctive S-shaped detail with a hook, which visually refers to the automaker's new logo.

Details from Elroq
The materials and colors used are inspired by the Elroq model. The textures, cut, and lines on the sneakers sensitively reflect details familiar from the interiors of Škoda cars – for example, horizontal lines that wrap around the foot, similar to how the interior of the car surrounds the passengers. We paid attention to the materials – some elements were taken directly from the surfaces used in the car.

Creativity in motion
We worked intensively on the development of the collection for several months – more than 20 prototypes were created, we fine-tuned every detail. The resulting sneaker combines the best of both worlds: the artisanal tradition of the Botas brand and the design progressiveness of the Škoda brand .
"Petra Debnárová and Stefan Webelhorst came up with ideas that absolutely thrilled us. Their perspective on footwear was refreshing and inspiring for us," adds Vít Staněk.

This is just the beginning.
The limited edition Škoda x Botas sneakers are the first in a wider collaboration. Other models and projects are already in the works and more information will be revealed during Milan Design Week , where Škoda will present its own design output for the first time.
